Louisville backup QB Simms to transfer

Louisville back-up quarterback Matt Simms has decided to transfer from the school at mid-year. Simms, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound redshirt freshman from New Jersey, is the son of NFL great Phil Simms, a Louisville native. Simms was expected to be a part of heavy competition at quarterback this spring with Tyler Wolfe, Zack Stoudt, NC State transfer Justin Burke and junior college transfer Adam Froman among others.
